Screenshot Settings
Configure screenshot capture, OCR recognition, and fixed capture areas
Screenshot and OCR
| Option | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Screenshot Mode | Selects normal capture, the precise capture toolbar, or another mode, determining which actions are available after an area is selected. |
| OCR mode | Normal mode starts the OCR engine only for a screenshot operation. Fast mode keeps it running in the background after the first screenshot and uses some memory. Idle-release mode unloads the OCR engine when no Screenshot OCR operation occurs during the configured interval. |
| Close after idle | Sets how long the OCR window can remain inactive before it closes, from 10 to 3,600 seconds. The default is 300 seconds. |
| Close previous OCR window | Automatically closes the preceding Screenshot OCR window when OCR is started again, preventing windows from stacking. |
| OCR models | Downloads, imports, or deletes OCR models for different languages. The model matching the text language must be installed before using Screenshot OCR. |
| Use Proxy | Controls whether OCR model downloads use the network proxy configured in General settings. |
Fixed areas
A fixed area stores a frequently used rectangle on the screen for repeatedly capturing the same position.
| Field | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Name | Assigns an identifiable name to the fixed area. |
| X, Y | Sets the screen coordinates of the area's upper-left corner. |
| Width, height | Sets the dimensions of the area. |
| Enabled | Controls whether the area appears in the capture selection list. |
