Shortcut
Add, edit, and enable global EasyChat shortcuts
The Shortcut page creates global shortcuts that can activate EasyChat while another application is in the foreground. The key combination must not already be reserved by Windows or another application.
Basic shortcuts
| Action | Behavior |
|---|---|
| Screenshot translation | Select a screen area, recognize its text, and translate it. |
| Screenshot OCR | Select a screen area and recognize its text without immediately translating it. |
| Typing Translate | Open the input window and deliver translated text to the focused input field. |
| Selection translation | Translate the currently selected text. |
| Quick Translate | Open a window for entering or loading text to translate. |
| Quick Correction | Open a window that corrects the entered or selected text. |
Quick Translate and Quick Correction support Read selected text, which loads the current selection when the shortcut runs.
Language switch shortcuts
Language switch shortcuts change the global source or target language without opening the main window. They are useful when you work with several languages.
Editing an entry
Every entry includes an action, key combination, enabled state, and optional remark. Depending on the action, additional options may include the translation engine and model, source and target languages, Replace current input, simulated keys before or after delivery, or a text-assistance mode. Disabling an entry preserves it but unregisters its shortcut.
Shortcut conflicts
If a shortcut does not run, choose a combination not used by Windows, your input method, the focused application, or other background software.
